PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!!! 10 points?
 

Okay well to start off please answer my question. I'd really appreciate it. I have a 1997 Honda Accord Ex that is silver. This car has 152,xxx miles and is very good and VERY CLEAN. It has a vtec engine that runs smootly and has a lot of power. The gas mileage is great.(32-35 mpg) But there are some cons about this car. The cons are:































-the paint is rusting in the half front of the car















-the left mirror on the car is broken















-needs new brakes (can get it)















-needs new thing, I don't know what it is but it's a part that starts the car-(can get it)















-windows have trouble going up/down and are slow, sometimes gets stuck















-it has salvage title, hit in front















-there might be other little problems but those are the main ones































My dad had this car for five years and has driven it up and down from the mountains to my small city that I live in.































Right now I'm pretty frustrated about this car and thinking of giving it a new paint job and mirror and selling it and getting a 2002/2003 honda accord.































Should I fix the car up or just get a new one?































(I work and only get around 600-700 dollars a month)

Get an 02. It looks much better than the 5th gen you have now.

If you fix it you will never get your money back from the repairs. Obviously fixing it is cheaper than a new car but there is a risk of how long it will last even after you invest in the repairs. I'd try for a newer one with less issues if you can afford it. Remember a newer car also means higher insurance, and sales taxes.

Fix the car first, then sell it. After the car was sold then buy the honda accord car. That's the best thing that you can do.
