question about performance chip?
 

What am I facing if I choose to install one of those 30 dollar performance chips on ebay. They are the kind that you just bolt on top of your existing chip. Am I risking serious engine harm? Do they actually work? I heard that they do not actually void warrenties and they are safe, is this true as well? I have a 2006 accord v6 coupe with manual transmission

From what I understand they just trick the computer into giving a little more fuel on demand. They tell the car that more air is coming in and the computer gives more gas..















But, you have to take it off for emissions testing or service that deals with warranty work. No warranty covers chipping out your ride.
