What would you pay for a '98 Honda ?

I am trying to sell my 1998 Honda Civic Ex.It's a 2 door, automatic, pristine on the outside car.The transmission needs to be replaced soon, but not right now. Probably in a couple of months .. I was quoted $1500 for the repair.Other than that, I have taken the car in for regular services, I have replaced most hoses and belts, I change the oil every 3,000 miles. I took really good care of the car. It has working a/c heater, power windows, locks, and steering and a moonroof. The transmission is the only thing "wrong" with it.I has in a hit and run a while ago, but just the hood and grill were smooshed. I replaced them brand new and repainted the entire car - so it has a 6 month old (new) paint job.I have no idea what to sell this car for. What would be a reasonable price to ask ?I checked KBB and it said $3000-something.But I feel that's too high b/c of the transmission they'll have to get fixed in a couple months.

Try the blue book website ... They will ask you questions and give you a fair price for it ... I got my 1994 Honda Accord LX for 2k ...(2 yrs ago) ... All it needs is a paint job ...

sell it at the blue book..and knock off the 1500 for the transmission. The fender bender is no big deal since its fixed now...and with a new paintjob.
