Go to an automotive parts store, or go to any repair shop, or dealership repair area, and ask them to show you where the transmission dip stick is at. That is where the transmission FLUID is added. The transmission fluid is a hydraulic fluid, not an oil. Never put oil into a transmission unless you know that it is specifically called for. The vehicles that would call for an oil for the transmission are extremely few and far between, and your car is not one of them. For your best good, I have emphasized this point.Engine oil goes into the valve cover, and there should be a cap labeled "oil", or has a sign that looks like a can of oil being poured into a hole on that cap. Transmission fluid goes into the tube where the transmission dipstick comes out. Only measure transmission fluid when the engine is running, and has reached it's operating temperature. If you try measuring the transmission level with the engined stopped, the reading will be very wrong.
