why do i have noise on FM ONLY with my 1986 honda accord. AM is spotless.

intermittently not starting.? hello, i am having issues with ignition noise and intermittent start up problems with my 1986 honda accord. IT JUST STARTED DOING THIS. the noise is across the FM dial. but AM is spotless! i have a new antenna, and replaced the cap, rotor, used three brands of wire (even made sure they were resistor type), two brands of plugs (resistor types), grounded the hood, and even tried the condensor. NO AVAIL! the noise is a static or popping that varies in tempo with the engine. the car runs well even with 258k+ miles, NO MISSES. oh, and another problem i have is that the engine will intermittently not start up, and will turn and turn or be slow to start after i stall the engine by letting off the clutch too quick or when first starting up. i wait a little bit, and it starts up. i heard this problem and the noise on FM only is caused by a bad ignitor. the coil and distributor are fairly new. the wires are well braced and run neatly away from each other and away from any ground.

the noise also affects tv, and other radios within 25 feet of the car.

i have a pioneer supertuner IIID CD deck that i had since i got the car last year, and it hasnt given me any problems with noise in any other vehicle or this one until now. other brands do the same thing, and even the car next to me has noise in their reception when they pass me driving down the road.
