2006 Honda civic - which lights to use while driving at night

sorry if this is a stupid question but i'm confused. Basically, which lights do I use when i drive at night?

I know it's the lever to the left of the steering wheel.
when i turn the car on, it is in the OFF position and the headlights/instrument panel lights are already on. if I turn it one click, the lights of the headlights/instrument panel seems to dim. when i turn it another click, the high beam indicator comes on and the light is really bright.

i'm confused, pls clarify what u use when you drive at night...

look at your owners manual, or give the dealership a call

if your highs are coming on by themselves on your third click or whatever, try to press it out towards the front of the car, or pull it in towards you. The switch might go back and forth, along with it's ability to go up and down.

Easiest way is to try different combinations and see what you're most comfortable with while driving. You can drive with no lights on at night if you want, but if you get into an accident don't blame us. Now at the other end, if you're driving with your highs on and people start flashing you back and honking at you, once again you're on your own.

However, there usually is an "Auto" function in which you "set it, and forget it" lol. It'll turn the lights on when it senses darkness, and turn them off when it's bright out.

sounds like the lever might be pulled back for the high beams. Once the car is turned on, daytime running lights always turn on. when you rotate the light knob, first parking lights will turn on, then driving lights (headlight). Pulling the leaver towards the driver postion turns on the high beam.

you must use your driving lights not daytime running lights at night.
The guys are right always check your manual, lots of good info in there, fuses, how to change the tire, oil chage stuff, etc.
