95 Civic- auto trans harsh shift all gears

Hey all. I just bought a cheap Civic to fix up and along with a few other things, I'm finding the tranny to be pretty harsh when shifting up/down from all gears.

I usually buy standard trans but this was a special situation. This is also my first Honda. I am just curious what I'm in for here. Is this something that can be left alone? This is a two year car and I don't want to put a tranny in it if I can avoid it.

Fluid levels and condition are ok.

ya your transmission is a write off.. once you start feeling jerking into gears that means you have problems with the shift.. anyways happened to a person i know in a jetta and volkswagen had to replace the transmission

I don't really enjoy using lucas treatment but in desperation is a situtation i would. You can get transmission additive from any local parts store. I would change the transmission fluid and poor the treatment in and then add your transmission fluid.

What year is this?? Are you getting any transmission codes?
