95 civic headstud broke..help??

ok so i have a 95 civic si...with the d16z6 motor. and my friend was putting in head studs and he over torqued one of them and it snapped. but it stayed in there so i was like ok w/e. then the other day i started smelling oil burning, but i didnt pay any attention to it. cuz i was due for an oil change anyways. so i was filling up with gas and i noticed there was oil all over the front of my bumper..leaking from my hood. so i popped my hood and my whole motor was covered in oil..and there was oil all over the inside of the hood. turns out the top part of that head stud was completely gone..letting oil out..but the threaded part is still threaded into the cylinder head...so how do i get that piece out? cuz i bought a replacement head stud..but i cant get that little piece out...any suggestions??

you might be able to get it out with an ease out set. if its got that much torque on it its gonna be hard.

Drill into the stud bolt and use a tap to remove the bolt. Go to pep boys and tell the counter man your problem and ask for a tap set. Less than 10.00 dollars.Good luck. Elmer
