96 honda civic. My car starts vibrating pretty bad once I get over about 60 mph....

...any suggestions? Do I need an alignment or is this a bigger problem? It seems to be coming from the front left.

don't go over 59 mph :)

first port of call would be the tyre centre and have your front wheels balanced, an out of balance rear would cause some vibration but not as pronounced as a front .whell balancing is usualy fairly cheap and in most cases can be done while you wait.

I would check tires, alignment, and motor mounts.

If you just wanted to see if it was the tires, rotate them and take i t out.If it is the tires replace them.Could be your front motor mount, but give her some juice if you feel it taking off probably your motor mount

stay out of the ditch lol-probably alignment or tires-make sure you stick to the same brand/type on all 4 wheels

check your tire balance from a tire shop. 90 percent of the time it's just a off balance. should cost approximately $20 or something.
