99-00 rear bench seats wont fit in 96-98 coupe

QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS!!: I installed a set of 99-00 EM1 SiR seats in my car, The rear bench does not fit in because 99-00 brackets are spaced out too far. Anyone know how to fix this?
