nope if the motor is in a 90-93 teg... then you need a cable b-series tranny... all b series new than 94 are hydrolic.. but the gen 2 tegs are a cable tranny...
^^^you can use any b series tranny all u gotta get is the conversion kit...but then again it will be chapper just to get the cable tranny wich is really hard to find....
ya i wasnt sure about the conversion kit and was to lazy to check.... i know there is a cable to hydrolic... but wasnt sure about hydrolic to cable
ok but i have a 95 cx civic which is hydro with a 90 teg motor going in ....so i should be able to put a 94-01 hydro teg tranny on right????

All b-series hydro trannys use the larger spline (26 teeth) main shaft while MOST but not all cable tranny's use a small spiline (24 teeth) main shaft. So what this means is that you can't use a hydro clutch disk on a cable tranny because it will be too large to fit the smaller splined main shaft of the cable tranny, this also is true about using a cable tranny clutch disk on a hydro tranny it won't fit because the hydro tranny's main shaft splines are too large. But you can use any b-series tranny (cable or hydro) on any b-series engine as long as you have the right clutch disk. |
Get a cable b16 tranny and you will love it
