b16 with gsr tranny

I'm wondering what do people think of a b16a with 99gsr trans in a eg.

Are the longer gear ratios any good? say if you spray it...

Or just find a b16 tranny with lsd and call it a day.

In my opinion the gsr trans is a good compromise between the LS and the B16trannies. I have an S1 B16 tranny and although it might be marginally quicker than a gsn tranny due to the gear ratios, I would love to be able to have a car that you can drive on the highway (130kph = 5000rpm in fifth for me). Shifting every five seconds in the city gets old pretty fast as well...

LSD = Limited Slip Differential...

b16 tranny with LSD is a little harder to find than a GSR. IMO go with the GSR if you plan on doing some motor work to the b16.

So if I spray it, this tranny will be a all around good choice...?? Anybody else on this subject?

to move a b16 on spray and get an LSD, just try to find a
Type R tranny, if you cant find it, a GSR isn't bad. like 4thgen
brought up, at least you can actually cruise on the highway.:smilie_da

no spray doesn't really count. i'm talking if you have more HP on a steady basis. spray is just momentary
