hey well i know it is rather easy if its not v-tec but v-tec is not to hard to hook up and when doing the swap put the harness on the engine befor putting it in the car its a bit easier

you're looking at:
engine tranny harness swap ecu axles linkage cable to hydro clutch conversion b-series mount kit to sum it up, you're looking at spending atleast $3000 and $5000 max if you DIY. IMHO it's not worth it. it would be cheaper to do LS/vtec or a straight LS swap. the torque from the LS and the lightweight EF chassis will give you a quick and cheap street car. |
ok so, i have a few questions, like what year of teg was the engine out of, and I already answered the same question on this page about 12 threads down "B18b into 89 crx" the only thing to add to that list is u have to wire multi port injection. go read the other thread and ull have all info u need
and if u want help with wiring, or a premade wiring harness, pm me, my friend and I build them for these types of conversions |
considering the year of your car, make sure u get an OBD-0 motor, its sooo much easier. go buy a 90 - 93 integra LS from a junkyard or somewhere else for round 4 - 500 bux, get one where the motor is fine but the body is shot (obviously), then go buy motor mounts from lets say, Enjo, thats what mine are. (round $300) then just put it in, ull need alot of parts from the LS so its just easier if you get the whole car.
http://www.geocities.com/cobourgracing/snow014.jpg thats mine, study it, itll help. i wish i had some decent pics when we did it. the TBFI to MPFI took me about 5 hours to do alone, (having very little honda experience at the time) i would be happy to help you in any way i can with your swap. and, as was said in the above post by Honda Tech, we will make wirings harnesses for ppls swaps. this swap WILL NOT cost you 3 - $5000 to do, dont let him scare you away from doing this yourself. not including the cost of the integra parts car, my swap cost no more than around $600. also considering the weight of your car this swap is a great start to some decent power, mine has very few mods to the LS so far and ive beat a 95 Teg GSR by 2 lengths. http://www.geocities.com/cobourgracing/snow012.jpg p.s, my wiring looks like crap in that pic cause its only half done  |
ooops my bad i thought he said b16b (CTR).
b18a/b is alot cheaper...i just sold my obd-0 b18a 2 weeks ago. obd-0 is 90-91 integras 92-93 is obd-1. i still got a linkage if you need it. i can get you a tranny and an ecu too |
B18 swap
whats up, i just swapped the B18 into my 90 hatch last summer, and it was pretty easy , the only main thing you have to do is bang the out of the subframe so the altenator clears it because it wont unless you hit it back at least a inch or two.

u can just get a shorter alternator belt, at it will fit fine, thats what I did on civtegra90's car. |
