Depends on budget. The best bang for the buck would be a dohc zc since they are cheap and you get 130hp, next in line would be a B16.

drift_n_shift 10-11-2006 07:06 PM

zc's are not really worth swapping or modding. best i'd say is B16A1/2 or a B18C1. :smilie_da

b16 would be best bang for buck. You can find em for really cheap. And there great engines:smilie_da

Lol forget he zc for sure those things got no potencial a b16 or a b18 like everyone is sayin is your best option.

livinlow 10-12-2006 08:22 PM

ZC has plenty of potential, You just need to know where to find it and how to obtain it.

ZC is cheap reliable fun, They take a beating and parts are everywhere.

B16a is again next step up.

All depends what type of budget you're on.

im talking form own experience ( and maybe moines is bad) but zc is the bigest crap there is out there. for hondas. i say go with a b16 work case szenario a soch vtech from a newer SI

livinlow 10-12-2006 10:40 PM

you must have got one built on a friday then lol

k20...if you're gunna do something, do it right!!!

K20...wave of the future!!!

livinlow 10-23-2006 06:51 PM

k20=overly priced gheyness

turbo zc owns you for half the price of a k20

jdmsteR 10-23-2006 07:01 PM

b16 or b18 is the way to go
h22 would work out nicely if you get the axles lined up properly
k20 would be the best option, but unless you have a budget under $10k it's out of the question

AlexG 10-23-2006 07:08 PM

i got mine for dirt cheap, car with swap cast me 6500 (no body work or rims, included suspension)

searching is key, check places that dont give a about hondas, like northern ontario, honda's are always cheaper out there

drift_n_shift 10-23-2006 08:05 PM

i dont get why everyone says k20 is the best. with 15-20grand, you'll have a niice k20/k24 turbo setup installed, but with that much money, you can have a sickk b18C turbo setup that will rape the k20/24 setup anyday :dunno:

IntegraMark 10-24-2006 03:09 AM

if it's for your g/f just put in an LS. you can get a complete swap for under a G note. a simple setup like that in a chassis as light as a CRX she should be quite happy with the pull.

Charlie_Chaos 10-24-2006 12:09 PM

B18C1 or B16 if your gonna cheap out.

Check out Info on "Franken-B's" B18 with other B motor parts like B18 bottom end with other B motor parts.

I used to know a little about them but I sold all my refrance material.
