hey guy i have a b16 head and i wanted to swap out the block to either a b18c or b18c5 which one would you guyz suggest for power gains and reliability issue ..... also i dont care about ls-vtec or b20-vtec i just dont trust they are ment to be together. So just stick to topic plz

Well you want to build a frankenstein motor or don't you? If you want to switch the block on your b16, then its the same thing as building an ls/vtec or b20/vtec.
The gsr block and the b16 head is known as the "poor man's type r" because the b18c5 is practically a b18c1 with a b16 had on it. With a few changes of course. But its as close as you can get.

what about it? well it does have a b16 head but I wouldint put on a head from another engine if your going to go with a b18c5 you go with the head because im not shure but i think they came ported from factory. and the type-r head is better and looks nice because its new.
