Can air conditioning be fitted to my Vreg 99 Honda Accord Type R EASILY???

I've got a Honda Accord Type R and heard that the Air Conditioning units were 'dealer fitted' when the vehicle arrived from the manufacturers; if the optional extra was taken up. If this is the case, I'm guessing that everything is in place for air conditioning and all I'll need is a Air Con Unit and couplings... Am I well off the mark on this one? If not, what will I need to buy to get air con? How much with it cost (approx)?

I used to work for Honda. We put a/c in a lot of vehicles. It comes in a kit so everything you need will be in the box (except r134 freon). It comes with instructions too!! If your mechanically inclined and have the tools, you can install it in one day. I had the install time down to 2 hours. But if you're no sure, then let the dealer install it for you.

There were no Accord type R's made.

assuming you're in the UK, why do you need air-con? have you seen the weather or is it hot where you live?I'm guessing maybe 4-5 days max out of the whole year put together is hot enough to need air-con....& you could just about get enough cold air if you open the windows...I personally don't like air-con as it irritates my sinuses but i see no need for them in the UK at all! (sorrry)...
