Figure out how much power you are making and how much your car weighs and then go here. Horsepower Calculator

Its not 100% accurate but it will give you an idea.

green-eg 02-26-2007 09:39 PM

id say prlly late 14's to mid 15's the car maybe makes 170 at the crank, in a 2800 pound car

79camaro 02-27-2007 11:29 PM

hope you enjoy 15.5's all day if your lucky many more things have to be evaluated before a number can be reached. A stock b16 can do low 9's you just have to find a shopping cart to mount it too. Power to weight and how you get it to the ground is what counts.

crazyae 03-01-2007 12:16 PM

too many factors... tire pressure, atmopheric conditions, gear ratios, curb weight, incorperting aftermarket items into the mix, and also the driver. You might be able to narrow it down to roughly the seconds, but noone can give you a definate answer to this.

JDm_91 03-02-2007 02:09 PM

I have a b16 and all those mods in my 91 hatch, and I know that it does around 15.2 ...never seen a timeslip, but i have high 14ers and came pretty damn close......so in a coupe it should do like 15.5. Get that motor danny boy!

he asked for ET not Horsepower

DDM 03-02-2007 05:11 PM

mid15s to 16s...

All depends on the weight of the car, suspension setup and tire choice...

You find out how much hp your engine makes, then how much the car weighs, Guess the ET, put in the weight and see if it calculates to around the same power. If you come close, take another guess. Simple.
That will give him an idea. Like I said not 100% accurate.

15.2 eh, haha ok I`ll race you with the truck instead of the car. Or are you ducking me now?

You should be in the high 14s. My friend had 144whp and he was well into the 14s.
The coupe low to mid 15s.

B16 is NOT about drag times stock and you will likely be disappointed. Stick to auto crossing, much more fun and rewarding.

ls-v 03-10-2007 04:48 PM

mid 15's low 16's .good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

No problemo......swap to an automatic tranny too! :hypnotize

95hatchcivic 03-14-2007 07:23 PM

expecting high 17's wtf r u high bud? 17 is a bad time, thats like a stock non vtec d16... a b16 with a header and a cold air intake sould run a high 14, i had a friend with one in an eg hatch with those mods, ran 14.7 14.8 and a 14.7 at the track, stock interior as well. why would you hope for 17's when other ppl r telling you 15's? that doesnt add up

josh2201 03-14-2007 10:13 PM

Are you high?^^^^^^^^^ I'm pretty sure he was JOKING

95hatchcivic 03-15-2007 10:11 AM

r u talking BHP or horsepower at the crank? cuz if its a second gen b-16 they make 170 at the crank dude...

balatch 03-18-2007 08:31 PM

ok, 16 seconds? damn nobody can drive... im not saying im great at drag racing, but if you are into cars enough to get a swap, and take your car to the track, running 16's is horribble! i'd expect mid- 15's lhigh 14's depending on you'r driving.... but thats just my guess, all of this talk is worthless

horsepower at the crank means nothing...it all depends on what you do to convert that to the wheels..the best way to do it is to stuff it in a hatch...light as Shlt!

xcivicnationx 04-01-2007 05:40 PM

i think mid 15's at worst, low 15's is an easy possiblity, all this is b/s tho, you'll find out at the track

ls-v 04-02-2007 05:51 PM

take a coffee with you and a magazine you will have time in 16s seconds to do all that gooooooooooood luck.
just have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

StealthZ 04-04-2007 07:34 PM

high 15s...

stealth512 04-04-2007 10:50 PM

Coming from experience anywhere between a high 14 to low 16. But mostly you will run a 15 something. If your car runs a 16's and some mild NA d-series beats you on the top end...something wrong with your driving or car. I should know it happened to me, it was my first time at the track and my car was messed up. It had bad wiring (IE knock sensor plugged into the MAP sensor, ect), threw CEL codes but I didn't know cause the bulb was removed, bushing were garbage, wheel bearings were toast, possible auto cams..ect. Wheel hop was out of this world. Funny thing is I thought the car ran good...until a single cam kicked my butt..damn vtec messes with your mind. Spent time fixing issues and guess what...it's faster. Hope this give you some insight to why ppl say...you never know until you take it to the track.

quinnc 04-04-2007 11:00 PM

you should be able to keep up with an automatic v-6 mustang if your lucky

4thgen 04-08-2007 12:25 AM

mid 15's, but if you go the boost route you will have a way better platform than a d16.

Whity 04-10-2007 01:22 PM

15.5 all day

trinithug17 04-10-2007 02:03 PM
