Car will jook, jook, jook....

OK. So, I only want replies with possible solutions to my question. No stupidness please.

CAR: HONDA CIVIC SI 1995 COUPE 1.6 vtec
"MY SIG SAYS H22 AND ALL OTHER STUFF, BUT IGNORE! I HAVE TWO SI's... i am asking bout my second one"

Issue:

Ever since winter came, the car has been given me some problems.
The engine has 120000km on it.
Basically, the car jooks (not all the time). But when it does, its bad. It will basically pull back a lot and sometimes at a red light it will shut off but then I can turn it on with no problems. I took it to my mechanic and he said it could be a tune up issue, so I did it. Nothing... anyways, below I have included that we have done to it in order to resolve the issue:

Changed/Replaced/Fixed the following:
  1. Cold Air Intake Filter
  2. Fuel Filter
  3. Complete tune up (sparks/plugs/cables, etc)
  4. Replaced Catalytic Converter with oem.

Now, I told him maybe the Fuel Pump, but he said that if it was the Fuel Pump, then the car wouldn't even turn on. So, I left it to that. I don't know what else it could be. So, I am turning to GTCARS. Maybe someone has the same issue? or has heard something and has a possible solution.

The car is very mint, engine sounds great and looks great, the tranny is not slipping and is running well. Please assist in this matter.

ok, WTF is Jook?
what do you mean by pull back? like someone is trying to pull your car backwards?

judgez24 12-29-2007 07:40 AM

yeah im wondering what a jook is too?

movistardave 12-29-2007 08:36 AM

thats bullshit about your fuel pump. i told you in your last post your pump might be going.....so right now its could be working intermitantly

you need to check fuel pressure at the time only when the car stalls

or else how can you find the fault when the car is running normally.

if you took the car to a mechanic already and he just told you its tune up issues...that means he knows your wasting his time and he doesnt want to help you. if you just paid him 1 hour diagnostic time he could tell you for sure what it is and you could go from their and even install the new part youself or whatever...

why would you spend days posting all this and driving the car around wondering if your going to be towed home and waste more $$$ then just take it into the shop.

the last thing im going to tell you is that Knowone on this board is going to fix your problem without seeing your car... all i know for sure is that your car needs somthing new.... i just dont know what. lol

He's trying to say that the car is "Jerking" as if it's going to stall.

...no comment to nun of yall

drift_n_shift 12-29-2007 11:37 AM

Yo honestly bro, you need to define "jooking". I'm sure there are others (including myself) who are willing to help but we don't get your problem.

civicSI95 12-30-2007 10:12 PM

Jooking is defined as:

Car will start up fine, run and then start "pulling back"... like, I give gas and it goes but has constant breaks... like there is no air to breathe or something.... it PULLS BACK.. i cant explain it more.

Gonads 12-31-2007 09:50 AM

well what about your ignition?
have you checked the coil?

i know that's, somewhat, what it felt like when my ignition coil was going on my old car.
it's a slim chance, but you can always try it.

I agree with the one hour of diagnostic, they'll find it eventually.
