CIVIC 91 EF starter problem
 
as i was changin my civic 91 starter i didnt dissconect the positive wire harness that connects to the starter because it was hard to reach it as i pulled the starter out it touched the car's mettal and sparkes went every where and saw some little smoke now i went on anywasy with the new starter noow i turn the car one noo lights i hear a cranck but no spin i hear wierd noises too there is nooo electricity what so ever but when i boosted the battery the lights and everything work but car still doesnt run after boosting it and taking off the cables nothing runs not even lights again battery is new it was working before the new starter and i checked all the fuses there all good what can be the problem?

make sure the clamps from the battery cable to the battery are nice and clean
there known to rot..
i went through same problem in my truck changed alternator starter
but still kept dying took it to a mech and it was a $5dollar piece :lol_hitti

have you checked the fuses in the engine bay? They are the ones the battery cable go to. chang them and you should be fine
