civic over heating...

hi
i have a 98 honda civic coupe si 277 000km
had a crack in the rad, car started to overheat a little, when up to 220 deg.
changed the rad.
and still same thing is happening.

when ever im stopped it slowly creeps to 220 deg. then soon as i move it goes back to normal, or if im stopped for a longer period of time it will go to normal.

i dont know whats going on.
the parts guy at honda said it could be the themostat switch
or the water pump switch

anyone can steer me in the right direction
thanks

Hello,

Better consult authorized Honda dealer, if it is new and such thing is happening, you can change it or at least ask them for proper inspection and repair the problem, it might damage the efficiency of the car in long run.

Hey there,

Sound slike your thermostat. 99% of the time that is what it is. Have you checked your water pump??? Is it leaking?
