can some one help me how can i tell if my clutch is going to give out on me i got a 93 honda civic

is it slipping?

i don't know i can't tell but when i put it in reverse some times is grinds and then i try agian it goes in. i tried doing the 4th gear trick when standing it dies instantly is there any tricks i can do when standy i kinda have a bin in my way

man ur clutch is good all eg's i have owned have grinded into reverse let the clutch out while keeping pressure on the shifter and it will go in no grinds...

try shifting to first gear then to reverse, its easier that way.

what i do is, when i come to a stop to back up i put it in 2nd and then reverse. works everytime.

i've never had this issue with my eg.. could be ur tranny is going..slowly gears will grind away and eventually it grinds into every gear.. then ur fakked
