Could you swap a civic si engine into a civic ex body?

Im looking to buy a civic SI because they have the fast engine ect. But buying an SI is very expensive but i found an SI that has a salvage title with a perfect engine but the body is royally messed up. I was wondering if i purchased a 2000 civic SI and a 2000 civic EX if i could do a straight engine swap with no problem.

Any info would be great! Thanks a bunch

It's the same chassis, so I would assume it would be pretty straight forward to swap them out.

Along with getting the computer and wiring harness etc., from the donor car, swapping in the transmission and differential from the wrecked Si would also benefit you greatly. The transmission in the Si is beefed up to handle the extra power and the Si has a limited slip differential to help put the power down out of the corners (where the EX just has an open diff).
