so what are the benefits of goin to mpfi other than adding the 2 extra injectors?
how much power could be gained through this? would an aftermarket throttle body help as well?

a multi port fuel injection makes your fuel distribution that more precise. A dual point would have 1 injector for every 2 cylinders where the multiport would have 1 for every cylinder.
