just wondering what the most bang for your buck swap would be on an eg hatch. like if i were to get everything (engine +installation) etc. i'm not looking to spend something stupid. maybe like 1000-1500

if ur talking ur overall budget....id just wait and save up for a gsr maybe cost u round 3g's after install and , but for 1500 of the top of my head u could get a jdm b18 or b20 round 4-800 and the labour would be the rest but even then u gotta get ur comp moded ud wana upgradfe ur fuel system, dizy, engine mounts bla bla bla tons of little things that add up.
1500 isnt alot man and almost no1 is gonna do a swap for $500(labour)
just save up itll pay out in the end.

Whatever u do don't do a b16a, it is a waste and u will hate it, stick with a b18c gsr motor and trans you will love it.

b16 swaps are pretty common arround here, its like every other civic in my area has one. tuners and ricers alike. i agree with JDMfellon a b18c is a good swap to play with. id take the 1.8c1 over the 1.6a anyday. save your money youll be happier in the long run
