Gsr Swap
I was planning to get a Acura Integra. The 1994 to 2001 models. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should buy any model Integra ex. RS, LS, GS and just buy the GSR motor to swap. I'm not really knowledgable at this and would appreciate if anyone provide with a link to some information.
I was wondering if its less expensive to swap a GSR motor in a RS, LS, or GS models? Or is it better if I just buy a Integra GSR with high kms and swap it with a new GSR motor? |
if you buy high milage GSR..its not just the mottor that needs replacing..

i would buy a rs, gs , or ls and just swap the engine. I would look for a clean body and generally well taken care of one.

yeah i was thinking of getting the RS, LS, or GS with a good clean body and just swap it with a GSR engine, but dont know how much it would cost me. I'm hoping it wont cost me more than $2500 CAD as the GSR car im looking at right now which is around 3-4 thousand more already have it swap and might as well get that instead of doing the swap myself if it cost almost the same.
Also wouldn't I have to change a lot of parts if I get a RS, LS, or GS also too, to swap it with a GSR motor like the tranny, ecu etc...? I just dont want to run into too much problems if the other models would have a lot more incompatibility. |
a gsr swap goes for around 3k and includes tranny, ecu, etc. people usualy charge 500 for the swap, so your looking at 3-4k for a gsr swap.
things to keep in mind are: -a real gsr will rape you on insurance and is more likely to get stolen -the gsr swap will have a lot lower k's |
