Hey guys i'm going to be replacing my headlamps for my civic 03 si with xeon bulbs with blue tone, something like this eBay.ca: 100W Honda Civic 92~03 7500K H4/9003 Xenon Quartz Bulbs (item 250095227338 end time 23-Mar-07 13:40:28 EDT)

are these legal??

According to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act you are not allowed to drive with headlamps coated. But as longs as they dont look too blue you should have to worry. But jus be aware that if a cop wants to be a prick he can give you the ticket. Dont worry tho the ticket will be thrown out in court.

the k that you are talkin about are only avaliable in hids. Some manufactures claim to reproduce those kelvins of lights but they are only truely produced by an hid system. I used to have yellow headlights a while ago. I never got bothered. But the one problem i found is that thy burn out fast. It may have been the brand bulb i was buying but i noticed they didnt last long. And driving around with one yellow headlight is jus askin for trouble.

I have heard a number of bad things about these bulbs. Sure they give you that better apperance and nicer colour, but they defeat the purpose of what they are meant for. These bulbs have a differant range of resistance which can sometimes cause excess heat which can melt housings. Another thing about the lights is the visibiity is highly reduced. The bets bet is to get a true HID kit , but then again that would be a no no because you would probably be putting them in a halogen housing. I would only do this with a headlight adjustment to compensate for there clairty and brightness. You do not want to blind on coming drivers!

yeah well alot of things would be nice and gravy if cops didn;t see alot of things.

I used to have yellow headlight bulbs in my EG, and I never had any problems, even tho I new I could of gottin a ticket for them. But the cops are not being to much of a ass with those bulbs anymore. I talk with cops every week at work, and they don't mind them.

btw..princess auto sells the brilliant white bulbs with the blue tinge to them for 9 bucks a pair...I've had a lot of success with these bulbs and they really light the road up nice. I got two years out of my first set but I did notice the brightness of the bulbs go down after a year or so. I can't remember the name brand but the blue effect of these bulbs are very subtle and I doubt cops would bother you

yellow bulbs are perfectly legal to use on the street FYI. the HTA states that the lights on the front of the vehicle must white or yellow and there must be no more than 4 on at the same time. (if i saw someone with 2 sets of fog lights on i'd give them a ticket for the simple fact that it's ghey)

hahhah agreed but i bet smeone is doing it somewhere is this messed up world.
