My friend has had one for about a year. I just got off the phone with him and asked him what he thought about it. Here's his impression:
Gas mileage - will get 42 mpg, but you have to keep it under 65mph and not get on the gas much. More realistic is about 35mpg. Performance - it's not a hot rod, but it can be made into go cart like handling performance. The car excells in hair pin turns and no body roll. Comfort - VERY comfortable! I can tell you that as a passenger at 6'2" and 215lbs, I have plenty of room in the front or rear seat and am quite comfortable for long drives. Now, the good news is that there are a TON of parts to upgrade the handling and more parts being released daily to help the performance. There's even a turbo kit out and a supercharger on the way, that will boost output by 30% or more. The sound system is also great with a port to plug in your iPod or other MP3 player. The only thing we both don't like is the lack of a sunroof and that its a bit slow. Otherwise its a fun car with a lot going on for it. |
Its a great small car. I drove one from Dallas to Boston a couple of weeks ago. It was quite comfortable even on such a long trip. The gas millage was great. In my opinion the sport model upgrade is just not worth it.
