how does this sound?

i have a b18a1 in my 90 hatch. i have a turbo from a 98 dodge cummins. i figure cause the turbo is so big that boost will hit fairly late. my car launches fast and does great 1/8 mile times but kinda dies out after. i figure with this big ass turbo i will have an 1/8th mile close to what i have now and then the turbo will kick in rocketing me to the end. sound like a plan? or am i an idiot? lol

Yes sir.

Way to big for a 1.8L street car.

It would however make rediculous power when it finally does spool, but completely un-useable powerband. (mk4 supra powerband).

Smaller, much smaller.

If you want better 1/4 times, on that car/engine combo, I'd go with a T03, or a hybrid T3/4. Not sure what comes on a cummins TD, but I'm sure it's a fair bit bigger than a T03. Or, even go with a something like a factory Eclipse turbo, and a big FMIC. That'd easily get you 10 psi, and well, 10 psi on a B18 in a hatch, would be almost undriveable.:smilie_da

k, thanks for the input. anyone know how much this turbo could sell for? its off a late 90's ram. it was taken off at the dealers because the turbo was thought to be the problem, and it wasnt, and i have a mint condit. turbo in my hands.
