K20a3 into 95 civic
I am about to buy a k20a3 to put into my 95 civic hatch. I want to get it installed for a reasonable price. If there is some one that can do it for a decent price let me know. Thanks

for the money its worth, go for the k20a2... you're going to end up doing the whole k20 swap, and not even get to enjoy the true feeling of a k20.
Otherwise just go b16, if you want 160hp that is... |
good luck with that install...take pics when your done

waste of $$$ on k20a3.

Some poeple do believe that K-series swaps are a waste of $$$. It almost seems like there is a new "cult" following the swaps of these fresh ripe motors. It almost seems like it's the new B-series bandwagon every ones hoppin' onto. While some these K motor swaps are a "hot-ticket" to 200hp, they are a hot-ticket to a broken wallet. The volumetric efficienct of a K20 is higher than B-series So anything you put such as pistons would be more effective, than if you were to put it in a B-series
B-series are still the bad-ass buildup motors on the streets, at a relativly lower price. The parts are much easier to find and considerably cheaper. All in all it's what you want, and what makes you happy. You can talk to my boys at Defcon Racing by calling 416-803-3589. or check thier website at defcon-racing.com. They have dealt with a few K20 swaps. http://defcon-racing.com/images/Proj...dkcomplete.jpg http://defcon-racing.com/images/Proj...c01/motor2.jpg A K20 swap in a 2001 Civic sedan |
k20a2 all the way! I don;t think you realize the amount of stuff needed to do this swap. This is not like the b-series, there is much more then just the motor.
check out k20a.org and you will find tonnes of information and can get a better idea behind the K's. |
