to be honest you have never recieved sponsorship before its obvious, 1 companies just don't sponsor cars becuase you ask them to, 2 when you ask about sponsorship putting a picture and a bio of the car and awards it has recieved would be a good start, and too be honest "real" sponsors won't sponsor a car off of a street racing site.

sponsorship can be taken a few ways , free parts, free labour, a good deal on parts alot of ways to do it, but most people think sponsorship is hard cash in your hand, and to be honest there are about 2-3 cars that i know that have sponsorship of hard cash from show and race in the gta. so you would have to state what kind of sponsorship opporotunities there is for a potential sponsor.
