Lowered my car!
 

Hey guys,
i got 17's installed on car and 2" drop which i like very much, the only problem is that wheni go 115KMPH i can feel my steering shaking a bit. Is that normal?? wht can i do in this situation.

After rims put i got alignment done but still same problem.

what about an alignment after you lowred your car?

Yup the tires are balanced and alignment is done.

well they arent balanced properly then. if you've done your alignment then the only thing i can think of is balancing. this only happened AFTER u put on the new wheels right?

yes alll rims and tires are new!

yes but were they balanced when they were mounted? being new has nothing to do with it.

i had teh same problem with my jetta when i got new rims on it n tires it ended up beign that they were not properly balanced. take em back an dhave the do it again.

ya it depends what way they balanced the wheels. I am assuming they did an aluminum balance( sticky weights) or a static balance ( an edge weight on the inside). These are more of the less accurate ways to balance wheels, but you can obviously get them right there is just more error factor invovled. I would take the car back to the show they were mounted at and ask for a rebalnce of the wheels. They can put the wheels back on the balancing machine to confirm if yes they are balance or if they are out by X amount of ounces. Also there are specific wheels weight for the certain kind of step you have on your wheel. There is a more general kind which most like to use and they possibly fell off being that they weren't the best fitment. My guess is they used sticky weight for this application, or atleast they should have.

yes they used sticky to balance the wheels. I will tak eit back to get it checked.
