mods for a prelude?
i got a honda prelude 92 what kind of mods should i do to it? got an cold air intake on it and thats it.. what suggestions do you got for me?? and before u use this joke " my suggestion is to get a new car" please dont, thats old... anyways any help on mods for the ride? thanx guys.
Have you done anything to the exhaust system? You have air going into the engine more freely, now it needs to get out. It depends on how much money you want to spend and what kind of sound you want. From what I have learned, a catalytic converter back ("cat back") exhaust with mandrel bent piping is a popular choice. Then choose which muffler you want. An exhaust shop will be able to help you the most. It will probably be $300 and up.
depending if you have the h22 or the H23a1, really depends on the mods you should get, with the h22 a good turbo set up would be the way to go, with the h23 i'd go with some internals pistons, rings, port polishing, etc. With Both Motors you can slap on a high flow fuel rail and fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, larger throttle body, aluminum intake manifold, 4-2-1 header, get your ecu flashed or upgraded, short throw shifter if MT. As for exhaust system, make sure you have a resonator somewhere on your exhaust system to keep it from sounding like a bumble bee on a bad day lol. Then you have unlimited possibilities with the body, wheels, suspension, Tail lights, Headlights, etc. Check Ebaymotors for more ideas, they have a lot of parts listed for decent prices, and also do a search on yahoo for Honda Prelude Forums, Forums are a great place to find ideas and get help with anything to do with your vehicle. Good Luck with the customization of your Lude.
