oil getting dirty to quickly

Ok so as some of you guys may know I bought a 2000 civic SIR, I finally got a handle on the oil burning issue I was having which was due to the PCV valve being FUBAR now I find my oil is getting way to dirty way to quickly. Im using Mobil 2000 high milage semi synthetic I just did a fresh oil change maybe 1000 km ago and the oil is already dirty, is their another brand of oil you guys would recommend? The motors got 225,000 Km on it so using full synthetic might not be feasable.

Switching to full synthetic would make you burn oil, I have first hand experience when my boy switched on a 99 prelude and it started to burn oil.
I highly recommend Dino juice Castrol GTX but thats my preference. All oils have to meet the same standarts from the Welmart brand to the most expensive stuff.

switching to synthetic will not make you burn oil, the reason you burnt more oil, is cus the the weight of synthetic is thinner then regular, you have to pay attention to both weight factors. I had over 300,000 on my 4.6 and luck to burn a 1/2 liter after 6000km.
as for your oil getting dirty quick, you probably have alot of sluge in the motor, lack of oil change from preveous owners.
just change the oil more often maybe every 3000 until it clears up.
Its not the oil.
But i would recomend atleast 1-2 steps thicker oil then what honda calls for, the clearence in your motor isn't like new no more.
