Thanks Honda GuRu P.S. The difference between the clear back ITR lights and the Black housing is one is HID the other isnt*** JDM Integras only had the round Headlights for the first year of the 3rd generation. USDM kept the style but the Japs hated it they liked the long rectangular lights from the 2nd gen so honda designed a different front end and thats what they came up with. the actuall only difference i think would be the bumper lip. hope this helps |
Well here's from JDMSHIT.com's front clips and here's a DC2 GSR front clip notice its exactly like our USDM I'm pretty sure the straight light was an ITR only option as far as i know
http://jdmshit.com/parts/engines/DC2frontclip1.jpg And here's the front clip of an ITR http://jdmshit.com/parts/engines/DC2Rfrontclip.jpg Though the headlights arent present you can see that the rad support and headlight assembly are structured for the long headlights Im trying to prove a point I could be wrong since im not in Japan seeing this stuff everyday but im pretty sure its only the ITR with the long light ADAMO i think is the only one that might give some valid insight here since he's actually in Japan |
You surely won't see any of these cars for a number of years boys. Minus knock-off conversions.
|
Thats not what im asking you man hahaha are all integras from GS to Type R long front headlight?
As far as i know the long lights are a TYPE R ONLY item? Am i right or not adamo? |
NNooooo......USDM are circle and JAP is long ...and the jap gsr has long lights that are chrome housing and type are long light and black housing ....and all gsr and type r USDM are circle...so therefore if you bring your usdm integra to jap they will be li :retard: ke

I dont agree bud i could be wrong but im pretty sure im right the LONG LIGHTS ARE A TYPE R ONLY OPTION THE REST ARE LIKE OUR USDM FRONTS

I just stumbled onto this post by accident, but maybe I can help out a bit...
In Japan, 93-94 models came with the same front end that we got here in NA from 94-97. There was no Type R model available in these years period... they had an SiR-G which is equivalent to our GS-R model except it came with a flat black front lip, amber fog lights, and clear turn signals. This is why you can find some front clips with round headlights and a Honda emblem on the bumper. The straight headlights were available from 95-00 and in these years, the SiR-G came with chrome housing straight lights. The Type R came with a colour matched lower front lip and black housing headlights. In 99-00, the Type R's came with HID's stock. The headlights are still black housing except there is an outline of a ring around the main projector beam. And then Europe's a whole different story... some countries got the straight headlights after 94, but some stuck with the round headlights just like ours... all of them were Honda badged though. Hope that helped... |
I wish I could be of some assistance to you all, but I don't see any Honda Integra's on the streets. I have seen maybe 20 in my time spent here.
Maybe this link will clarify things up for you. It's a detailed Japanese timeline through the life of the Honda Integra. http://www.honda.co.jp/pressroom/lib...GRA/index.html Here's the 93 http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto.../in93-003.html 93 prototype http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto.../in93-002.html Fast forward to 1995 http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto.../in95-009.html http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto.../in95-001.html 1996 http://www.honda.co.jp/news/1996/496097.html 1998 http://www.honda.co.jp/news/1998/4980129-1.html 1999 http://www.honda.co.jp/news/1999/4991216a.html 2001 http://www.honda.co.jp/news/2001/4010702-integra.html 2003 http://www.honda.co.jp/news/2003/4030918-integra.html 2004 http://www.honda.co.jp/news/2004/4040916-integra.html I think this was a waste of time to say the least, but hopefully you can admire the pictures to find your truth. |
