question about my motor
hey guys,
so i got a new car and i noticed where it has the stamped model number for my motor says B16A. My questions are what motor is it? B16A1 or B16A2? How would i tell? |
most likely an A1, what year is the car?
yes it is refering to A1 and as civtegra90 said chassi stlyle will also give you a good indication to confirm that and what the previous owner has done.
its a 92 integra gsr, but the b17 was ripped out and this engine was put in..
yeah, so it would be OBD-1. most likely the B16A1 from the 2nd Gen SIR.
B16A (OBD-0) is from the EF SIR B16A2 (OBD-2) is from the EK SIR |
so it has 168 h/p stock right?
sounds about right
A b16a is a jdm b16 motor. You can tell wat gen motor it is from the year. A b16a1 is a first gen usdm b16 which came in such cars as the del sol. A b16a2 is a second gen usdm b16 which came sir civics.
yea but its in a 92 integra right now so i wouldn't know
most likley its a b16a1 and its a first gen usdm from a sir
the year of the motor is imprinted on the motor
Underneath the engine code, (B16A) there will be a string of numbers. Rule of thumb is if the numbers start with 1, then it's a first gen B16 w/160, second gens made 168.
