Reliable Shop in GTA for K-Swap.
 

Hi all,

I have a 98 civic si and I finally decided to replace my Dseries motor and swap it for a K20A Type R motor. I now have the dilema of having to choose where to buy the motor and who can install it. I am really worried about spending this much money then end up getting a sh*tty motor and a sh*tty swap quality.

Here is where you guys come in. Do you know of any reputable place to buy the engine and a knowlegable shop to install it near the GTA (Preferrably close to Brampton).

P.S.

I want someone who knows how to make the power steering and the A/C work after the swap. Ive heard from a lot of people that they dont work after a swap, but I heard from one guy that there is a way of doing it.

Alright well i think your best bet is . They have access to these engines and they aren't snakes that will screw you over. Nick and eric treat there customers very well from what i have seen and won;t let you down.

They might be able to work out a very good deal with you in terms of installation if you buy from them.

I agree with you that it is alot of money to put up and you want the work to be in safe hands and the engine to be in optimal condition.

RT Motorsports in the Vaughan area. They could fully install your K-series motor, running, with no engine lights for a thousand bucks! Hell Yeah!

be prepared many don't know what k costs...

just to be clear only sells iteams and they don;t do installation. I am sure they can refer you to a shop and make a deal with you.

a K Series swap with everything should cost a minimum of $8000

If you have the cash then go for a K Series, but i would rather drop that cash into a GSR motor and Turbo

i don't want a swap but i need a new k20a/k20a2 for my rsx... would this place have any or know someone who does?

mitch the boss if you look in the classifieds you will find a used k20a2 engine. Sometimes you have to use the search button in order to find it.

yeah i have been looking i was using my friends account and found a contact then he got temprarly banned so i cant getinto the private messages to figure out who that was from... and i cant get any mesages from them... so im outta luck... if you see any let me know though please

I am not sure if someone will part wiith selling just the engine, but you could try.:dunno:

yeha i know the type s engines are like 2500+

Check with , they used to deal with ART motorsports Im not sure if they still do, but I'd check with ART to see if they could do it.
