S2000 300-350 bhp N/A?

I would like to know if it is possible for a 2000 to 2005 S2000 to produce 300 to 350 bhp without any turbo, supercharger or NOS applications? If it's possible, what are the requirements to help the car reach its horsepower goal?

Thx

Individual throttle bodies, race gas, unstreetable cams, 17:1 compression ratio... to name a few

lol ummm, LOTS of $$$ engine internals and ecu/vtec controlling a-la jun, hks, toda or whoever else u want....not to mention somone that KNOWS how to tune it all

ITB's...custom crank, custom cams, race fuel, possibly stroke the motor...

If they already make 200whp....300 shouldnt be that far off. Individual Throttle bodies, race fuel and proper tuning will get you half way there atleast I would assume, than add a stroker kit or bore out the bottom end for more displacement. Would be a wicked strong motor!
EDIT: I just realized you wanted 300+BHP not WHP, thats alot easier to obtain.

S2000 Street Legal

Individual Throttle bodies are not street legal. I'm not turning the s2k into a race car. I just don't want any turbos, superchargers or nos on the car because I'm not going to race this car all the time. Having all three of those kits would be a waste of money. My goal is to have this car perform mid 12's 1/4 mile times. I'm only going to drag the car like once or twice a year. I just figure maybe a bigger throttle body, cold air intake, swapping cams, ECU upgrade and fuel system upgrade could do it. But I could be wrong. What else could I do?

lol, yer joking right?

Since when are ITB's illegal?

And what the hell are you doing tryin to make and S2k a drag car for twice a year, just borrow a friends fast car if you want to hit mid 12's twice a year. And as for your other question. NO that stuff will not achieve your goal..Just add a 75 shot when you hit the track with all ur bolton and het ur car tuned for the juice and you should be good. I know you said no power adders but its the cheapest and will only work when you wantit..so two times at the track a year!

pfffft an s2K as a drag car is a waste of money in the 1st place...If you want to hit 12's i dont even think 300bhp will get you there.

Turbo Kits

Well if I can find a turbo kit for around $3000, I probably would consider it. I won't put NOS on the car because it's a unreliable setup when compare with the turbo and it's not very good in the long run.

The amount of work you would have to do to make the S2000 have 300 NA hp would make it far less reliable than if you just went with an SC.

And it would probably be cheaper to go with forced induction.

2NDGENTEG 10-16-2005 07:29 PM

true

the S2000 is so high strung anway, ggettting more power out of it isn't easy

Tomek6 10-16-2005 10:36 PM

Not to mention if you're turbo you can just turn down the boost for everyday driving. And turn it up for when u need it.

Supercharger

I after look at all the options, I have made my decision. I'm going to install a Vortech Supercharger on the s2k. I'll give me the power I need to go down the 1/4 mile in the mid 12's. Plus it's upgradeable if I want even more power.

Check it out:
