Simple question about a car feature?

What's that one featured called when the car is put into drive or reverse, but your foot isn't on the gas pedal - it still drifts slowly

I remember my brother's fairy new Honda Civic not having this. It helps a lot with my parking in the city. This is the only sticking point before I decide to purchase a Civic of my own

Click and Clack dot com could give you the feature. But, the way it worked on my friends car was the brakes did not release until you pressed on the gas pedal. You could let out the clutch slow on hills. I think he called it a" Hill brake" But, don't quote me on that. Those guys at Honda will know just ask them.
