Hey there,

I had a similar problem with my SOHC vtec. It came down to the Idle Air Control Sensor. When I would start the motor, it would immediatly rev to 3000rpm. Check that sensor for a start.

Hey again,

Ok well it was a while ago maybe its not the IAC in your case...I had a few problems when I was setting my motor up. Could also be your TPS (throttle position sensor).

i only have this problem whe nthe car is cold. once it warms up, it idles perfect.

but there is some tapping noises at low revs, maybe 2400. sounds like it is cooming from the block, any ideas??
