SRS lights?

Hey everybody,
Has anyone here had a problem with their civic's SRS light comin on? I've heard that it might be a defect on certain Honda's, but my dealership says fixing it isn't covered. WTF?

I have a 2001 Acura 1.7 EL (an enhanced version of Civic) and my SRS light was on since last weekend. I sent it to dealer for diagnose ($108) and was told that my seat belt buckle is broken. The part + labor is $390 + tax. That's too much and I am working for a cheap used part for replacement.
OPDS can cause SRS on as well. If that's the case, the dealer will fix it for you free of charge, because Acura provides a 10-year extended warranty on that.
