STEP by STEP how to TURBO a 98 integra???
 

Has anyone come across a website where someone has turbo charged an integra, i want to get a rough idea on how big of a project this might be from scratch. Aight dudes take care :thumbsup

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you need a step by step instruction guide on how to turbocharge your car, then you probably shouldn't turbocharge it. You're just going to blow your engine up.

Turboing an N/A engine is always a big project. It is even bigger for hondas as you generally need a built bottom end.

^ I wouldn't go that far. There's some guys running around here with some pretty quick turbo Hondas, with the stock bottom end.

i wanted to see what kind of things people have gone through to install a turbo, something custom built not buy and bolt....... but the dude who said "if u need instructions to turbocharge a honda then u shouldnt do it cause u'll blow it up" seriously man if wanted a stupid negative reply id ask for it ...ur posting was of no benifit and a waste of time

to be honest buy a "full-race" kit and you will be done trust me doing it yourself will take a long time and depending on your goals will end up costing alot more then you think or plan full-race makes wicked kits.

Agreed. I am doing my whole kit all custom and it takes a long en time just to get all the parts. And then even more time to make everything work together. Buy a kit and forget about it.

Your basics of what you will need....

Exhaust manifold, turbo, oil lines, wastegate (unless you buy an internal gate turbo), larger fuel pump, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, piggy backs or stanadalone EMS, upgraded clutch/pressure plate, intercooler, piping, new exhaust and so on and so forth...

STEP 1: gather up all parts required to turbocharge your acura and install them. :retard:

It wasn't a stupid negative reply. I have a turbo car, I know what I'm talking about... I know what is involved, and you don't. So until you figure out how that stuff works, leave the turbo off your car or else you'll pop your engine.

Despite what you might think, it's more then just bolting a turbo manifold and turbocharger onto your engine.

dont ask just buy a kit it will save you money in the long run, the kits should have everything needed to slap it on plug and play and have a nice day.

It'll be a lot easier knowing how to install something once you realize how and why it all comes together in the way it does, instead of just following someone's instructions. And these guys, everyone had to learn from somewhere.

I agree, how are you going to learn anything if you dont try to do it yourself. Do your research,find your parts, talk to people who have turbo hondas, and you should be fine. It also helps if your mechanically inclined if your not forget about it. I did my setup from scratch with junkyard parts, saved alot of money.......its a year later and my car still runs strong no probs 8psi on d series stock internals. Oh ya fuel management is very important dont cheap out in that department or kaaboooom. good luck :thumbsup

SOME good discussion going on, ive had two turbo vehicles in my life so far a 95 TALON and 90 SUPRA....i got good ideas My next project is the integra we'll c how it goes im debating whether to get a gsr motor and build the turbo on that.....PEACE
