on the block, the code should be stamped on it. you should see "B18C5"... that refers to the type r block

On the pistons and crank only, tear it apart. That's the only way to find out what honda engine it is.

seems a little excessive. i know on the head it should be stamped pr3-3 somthing like that was just wondering if the pistons would say somthing like that.
the pistons should be P73-00 (if the head is off) and of course as every1 knows the block should be stamped B18C5:smilie_da
or b18CR if it's JDM
okay on the block its stamped b18c5 on the front, then on the back it has P72 on it thought P72 was a GSR and P73 was a type r. also want some help on what type of head i should use.....a stock type r head from 00 01 or a b16a2 head.. i know on the type r i will not need to do any work.... and the b16a2 will need ctr cams valve springs, retainers, valves, and valve seals and maybe a mild port and polish and also a skunk 2 intake manifold. Just lookin 4 around 200 at the motor and want to be able to rev it..
