Want to do motor swap

My buddy has a 97 civic SI, he is looking to do a motor swap on it. He has a line on a cheap b18 from a 1990 integra is this something that will work for ls/vtec?

97 Civic is OBDII, the '90 Integra is OBD-0 (I think) B18A. He'll be wasting his time if he wants to go with that setup, unless he has a lot of money to build a proper LS/VTEC and is willing to convert the car to OBD1.

I'm sure the honda guys will either correct me or add more info.

going obd-1 no matter what, the deal for the motor is pretty cheap so figured why not buy it. He is planning on full build. anymore info?

so since he's willing to spend the money on converting, why doesn't he just get an obd1 to begin with (newer motor) b18 in the newer integra...but guess hes getting a good deel so watever he goes with its a good setup and if done right will get some good power...

yeah I mean the only reason, he's asking is due to the fact he can get the motor for only 60 bux.

well in that case, buy the engine, sell it for way more, then use that money to buy an engine that's easier to swap in. that's what i'd do.
