REDCIVICBLACKHOOD 05-30-2005 03:24 PM

i had a stock h22a in my si coupe and i ran 12.9 109 on street tires. yes rcbh is a god. the reason other guys cant match my times is they are fuctards that have no idea what they are doing. :la:

ya a car that runs 13's is probably trapping 103mph and with a tire it could do high 12. Think if your doing 2.2 60 foots, and then you get down to a 1.6 12's is pretty easy. :thumbsup

The only reason the other guys can't match you times is because they don't want to cut out 90% of the structure of their car...

FYI the Splitfire Civic cuts 1.6 second 60 foots.

There too much bench racing in this thread.

actually most hondas with a mickey thompson 24.5x9x13 will do 1.6's with a good driver, shant on the weekend did a 1.59 with these allmotor

ALLAN_M 06-06-2005 05:47 PM

iiight so with a full interior it will run what? a low 13
gutted 13 flat aprox
cuz i have a guy tellin me has 1 with enterior taht runs 12.7 is taht believable?

fastestcivic 06-06-2005 05:59 PM

ALLAN_M 06-06-2005 11:17 PM

okay okay
so what does a k20 in a bubble back run
considering that it has the same torque but more hp then a h22 and a lil lighter
high 12s

Really eh? That's amazing. The best I've got out of my POS was a 1.9 with soft suspension and 20" slicks.

3M TA3 06-07-2005 07:44 AM

my friends h22a hb ran a 13.9 his first run in that car ever
mods were intake exhaust jdm header which was dented in from hittin the ground and no back seats.
from what ive heard that swap usually runs a low 14 or a high 13 second depending on the driver and or tires

FR_K20crx 06-07-2005 10:30 AM

not sure about bubbles with k20 R but a rex done right is an 11/12second car with minor bolt ons and an itb with full stand alone and pretty much everything u need to get the motor runing.

i'd say cams are bolt on. itb take a bit more tuning...

many people say it'll run 12's cause of the high HP and low chassis weight, but no one factors in the weight of the H22... its like 300lbs over stock weight... SERIOUS FACTOR

low to mid 13's

B6T 06-08-2005 12:30 PM

I resent that 10" tire comment. They are 12"s.

I upgraded them... I've got 165/80R12s on it now, rather then the puny 145/80R12s that came on it stock.

You're saying an H22 weighs 300lbs more then the original engine. Did you get the EDM H22L? That's the Ethiopian Domestic Market H22 which has a lead block instead of aluminum for those of you that aren't in the know.

last I checked when I had a gsr swap on a skid and a h22 on a skid, the h22 weighed a 65lbs more.......

making it a 130lbs over a stock d series....... :smilie_au

300lbs, I can lift a h22 by myself!

what is it a 350chev with a 700r4 tranny?
