Steering rack. Might need loosening, or maybe even new rubber (thingys lol).

That sounds a bit serious.. I had a Jaguar and one day I was going around a roundabout (it`d been knocking) and the steering failed totally.. scared the life out of me... get it sorted now!!

You may be turning too sharply, mounting the pavement, and running over pedestrians.































I'm not a mechanic, so this is just a guess.

CV joints on the way out.

Whats wrong with your honda is that yor cv boots are torn and dirt got inside your bearings! It cost about 14.95 for a quick boot but it wont workon yours because you already have dirt in your bearings! A good boot cost around 40 to 60 dollars! but if you are going to take it to a mechanic he will charge about 100 dollars! what i suggest is that you buy the whole cv joint that cost from 60 to 80 dollars but the mechanic will charge a little the same because he doesnt have to clean the new bearings! goodluck!

It is worn Constant Velocity Joints which are causing the problem. These are basically 4 large ball bearings in a metal casting ( Universal Joint) which transfer the power to the front wheels. Like all moving parts, they are subject to excessive wear over time. It is possible to do the job yourself if you feel capable, and don't mind getting getting dirty. But it is better to let an "expert" do the job . If you want to do the job yourself, beg , or buy the Haynes Workshop Manual for your car, and get stuck in ! It IS worth it. Remember to work safely

As above, sounds like the cv joints to me.

Front wheel drive, then it's almost certainly that drive shaft constant velocity joints have come to the end of their life, be careful if badly worn they will come apart, not a good thing to happen if your on the move
