Why honda dealerships suck

so i know none of you guys are dumb enough to go to the dealership to get your car fixed, but i was an hour away from home and my car was overheating... so i had no choice. i didnt know the area and couldnt drive it much longer. anyways long story shot, 1000 for water pump and timing belt. thats such a joke, the timing belt alone was 600! thats just my 2 cents anyways, anybody else have similar bad experiences?

yeah being in the auto service industry myself sometime i can't understand how poeple spend the money they do. Also sometimes they don't when they really need things done. This is how it is though with everything... plumbing, air conditioning, and any other service thing out there. If you don't know how to do it or have no choice then sometimes thats what you have to pay.

Well, at the shop where i work. the door rate was $89/h... and i think its gone up from thier.

Some things you have to take to the dealership. but mostly NEW cars only go to the dealership.
