why are hybrlids 25% higher then the same car?

hybrids cost more than reg vehicles becuase of the technology you need to understand that the battery that powers hybrids is much much more expensive. There are also other things included in hybrid which are not included in a regular vehicle such as back up camera. Another thing you have to keep in mind is that hybrid have tax incentives right now..... as much as $3,500!! That is also another reason they increased the price. And lastly since theere is such a high demand for people to GO GREEN. these hybrid vehicles are rarely discount because more people are going hybrid for the status symbol than the ammount of vehicles that are being created.

currently it costs more in resources to build a hybrid rather then a gas car. so thats why, give it time and you will see hybrids won't be that expensive as it is now
