wont start

hey guys,

SPECS:

B16A SIR DEL SOL ENGINE
SPOON CHIPPED ECU
HEADERS 4-1

A couple days ago, i went out to start my car to get ready to leave, and low and behold it doesnt start. GREAT!!! The car would try to start, but sounds like it wasnt getting gas and just wouldnt start. So i lift the hood and check out the engine everything looked good. No loose wires, or plugs, or anything. Fuel lines were fine.

SoO i check the fuses everything was fine, couldnt check the relay fuse cause you need special gadget to check it. I Unplug the ground wire to the battery, and plug the wire back on, and BINGO car starts. So that means there might be something wrong with the ECU. When i unplugged it, it reset the ECU and fixed whatever was wrong. It has happened again, and i fixed it again by doing the same thing.

So what do you guys think? ECU problem? or fuel relay problem? or fuel pump problem?

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!! THANKS

Jon.

maybe even an ignitor problem

for disconnecting the negative battery terminal it is a few things....1 thing for sure is it isnt fuel related.
check all connections with sensors, etc
Could be distributor porblem or even Timing
and it MAY be a short somewhere
there's no way to tell you unless i could see what its doing when it doesnt start...
to make sure its no fuel you take if i remember correctly a 13 mm wrench and loosen the top bolt of the fuel filter and try to crank the motor if fuel sprays everywhere the pump works and it eliminates the pump and pump relay...now that i think about it could be injectors or burnt out ecu...

thats a place to start

verify that you have spark and fuel.

don't assume
