is it worth it? pt2
$4000 for a 94 gsr. needs new tires, timing belt and water pump, air con fixed, and starting to rust a little (but its expected) with 225000km everything else is in good shape
its either this 94 gsr or the 97 GS. what a dilemma! need some opinions please |
GSR!
You are gonna have to change timing belt on 97 GS anyway! |
i would take the one with a better body on it, b motors go for fairly cheap these days so your better off with the better body and then if need be replace the engine. I am leaning more towards the gs and swap a new long block in. Both cars are probably burning oil and are not in the best of shape and will both need work regardless. Do not go with the gsr just because of the engine!

alrite crazyae. i was leaning towards the 97 gs too. its all highways km too so i think that is the smarter choice. THANKS
its a temp car anyways |
if you go with gsr, its gonna be $4000 plus all that stuff, PLUS $500 for alarm and $500 for boomerang if you want to see your car when you come back from the mall (etc.). gsr's are known to get stolen, even if it is stock. :smilie_d0
plus rust sucks, 97 ftw! |
hey and if you don;t want the gs give me the link and i will buy it, or buy it off you if its only a temporary car. Only for 1500 :smilie_da
|
go for 97 gs if the body better then the gsr and maybe later on u can swap gsr engine if u got money for it.
|
97...rust = :banghead:
|
go for the 97!
|
go for the 97 if there is les km's on it and the body is in better condition.Just turbo it whenever you get the money, and youll have a pretty quick and good looking car.
