2008 Honda Civic Coupe - delayed acceleration!!?

Hi, I just bought a brand new 2008 Honda Civic Coupe (Automatic) a couple of weeks ago, and I've noticed the acceleration is not really responsive....it feels like there is a huge delay when i need those quick acceleration jumps. Is there anything i can do to remedy this problem with After market parts??

by the way, it is the LX model

is your car under warranty? if it is take it in. A 2008 shouldn't be breaking down yet....

NAAAAAAAAAWZZZZZZZ

But srsly, if you needed quick accelleration jumps, why did you choose a Honda? I'm not knocking the brand, but Honda motors are known high revvers, so there is little low rpm torque. Torque is what initially moves your car, whether from a standing start or rolling. This fact, coupled with your choice of an automatic is the root of your problem.

The most cost effective way of getting more torque is to use forced induction, whether you use a turbocharger or a supercharger, this route is going to cost you some $$$$ and void your warranty.
